The international student competition 2018 CFA Institute Research Challenge has officially began

In 2015, the team from Ukraine was the best in the EMEA region and entered the TOP-4 in the world. If the Ukrainian team wins again in the regional finals, it will get a chance to win 10 thousand dollars from the CFA Institute in the International Finals. The money can be used for development of their university only.
The competition is conducted in English and lasts one semester. The team that wins the All-Ukrainian Finals of 2018 CFA Institute Research Challenge will compete in the final for the EMEA region, which will take place in Dublin, Ireland. Transfer and accommodation of the winning team are carried out at the expense of the CFA Institute.
The competition is held by the International Association of Investment Professionals CFA Institute for 12 consecutive years. The goal of the competition is to write an investment report on one of the leading public companies. This year the object for the study of the Ukrainian team is the leading IT company Luxoft.
On November 10, 2017 in Ukraine the international student competition 2018 CFA Institute Research Challenge has officially began. Over 200 talented students from 27 universities from 12 regions of Ukraine take part in it. Over 5 thousand students from more than 1000 universities worldwide take part in the competition.
"Participation in the CFA Institute Research Challenge is an excellent opportunity for young people who have chosen a profession in finance and investment, to get the first experience of investment analysis, presentation of results to potential investors and, most importantly, teamwork experience. Many employers in Ukraine appreciate this experience of a graduate and oftentimes the members of the winning team receive job offers immediately after the finals," said Roman Anzin, Board Member of the CFA Society Ukraine.
