About the Challenge

After establishing CFA Society Ukraine in February 2010, its volunteers decided to launch CFA Institute Research Challenge in Ukraine as a good opportunity to give up to the next generation of investment professionals.

What It Is

The CFA Institute Research Challenge promotes best practices in equity research among the next generation of analysts through hands-on mentoring and intensive training in company analysis and presentation skills.

How It Works

CFA Societies and local universities assemble university teams of 3-5 students each. Teams are mentored by industry professionals in writing an equity research report on a publicly traded company. The teams present their findings to a distinguished panel of experts.

Levels of the Competition

The competition has three levels: local, regional and global. Winners at the local (Ukrainian) level advance to compete against Teams within their geographic (EMEA) region at the regional level. Winning Teams at the regional level advance to compete at the global level. One Team is designated the ultimate winning Team at the global level.
