CFA Society Ukraine announced that the subject company for its 10th anniversary local final of the CFA Institute Research Challenge will be Coca-Cola HBC.

Coca-Cola HBC is one of the largest bottlers of The Coca-Cola Company. We've been spreading happiness by producing and delivering soft drinks of the highest quality consistently since 1981.

Coca‑Cola HBC (Coca‑Cola Hellenic Bottling Company) is a bottling partner of The Coca‑Cola Company. This means that The Coca‑Cola Company manufactures and sells concentrates, bases and syrups to its bottling partners, owns the brands and is responsible for consumer brand marketing initiatives. We use the concentrates and syrups to manufacture, package, merchandise and distribute the final branded products to our trade partners and consumers.

Selling more than 2 billion unit cases every year – that’s 50 billion servings – we’re one of the world’s largest bottlers of The Coca‑Cola Company’s brands.

Coca‑Cola HBC is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland and has a premium listing on the London Stock Exchange and a secondary listing on the Athens Exchange. Our two major shareholders are the Kar-Tess Holding S.A., a private holding company, and The Coca‑Cola Company.

Students from Ukraine’s top universities will present their recommendations derived from in-depth research on Coca-Cola HBC. The teams will present and defend their equity analysis to a panel of top industry professionals.

Local Ukrainian Competition is one of the biggest competitions in EMEA Region (and top globally). Last year 180+ students from 35 Universities in 12 regions of Ukraine participated in the Research Challenge making Ukrainian contest one of the biggest in the world.

The Research Challenge is an annual educational initiative designed to promote best and ethical practices in equity research to students from universities worldwide through hands-on mentoring and intensive training in company analysis. Leading industry professionals mentor business and finance students on how to research and report on a publicly traded company.

This year, more than 4,000 students from over 865 universities worldwide are participating in local challenges, leading to the regional and global competitions hosted by CFA Institute in Amman, Jordan in April 2020.
